Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on getting there, visas, insurance, snow, and how booking works.

01How do I get to Andorra?

Most visitors combine a flight into a nearby gateway (for example Barcelona, Toulouse, or other regional airports) with a scheduled bus, private transfer, or rental car. Some routes also work well by train plus a short bus segment. The best option depends on your origin, dates, luggage, and group size. We help you compare realistic door-to-door timings.

02Does Andorra have its own major airport?

Andorra does not have a large international airport inside the country. Many trips use nearby airports plus ground transport. Some travellers also use Andorra–La Seu d'Urgell for selected connections. Availability and schedules vary, so we check what fits your dates.

03Do I need a visa to visit Andorra?

Andorra is accessed through Spain or France, so entry rules for the Schengen area (and any transit you use) apply before anything else. Andorra has its own stay rules for some nationalities, but your journey usually depends on whether you can legally enter and move within the EU/Schengen corridor you travel through. This is not legal advice: requirements depend on nationality, passport, purpose of travel, and current policy. Always confirm with the relevant embassy/consulate and official immigration sources before you book.

04Is travel insurance required, and what should it cover for a ski trip?

Insurance rules depend on your contract, package, group type, and what operators require. For winter travel, many travellers choose cover that includes medical expenses, mountain rescue where applicable, trip disruption and equipment, but the terms differ from policy to policy. Skiing and off-piste activities may be excluded unless you buy the right add-ons. This is not insurance or legal advice: read the insurer’s documents, ask explicit questions, and confirm winter sports coverage in writing.

05When is the ski season in Andorra, and how reliable is the snow?

Skiing typically runs from late autumn into spring, with the strongest demand in mid-winter weeks. Exact opening and closing dates depend on conditions and each resort’s operations. Snow quality and depth vary by season, altitude, and weather patterns; no provider can promise specific snow on specific days. For planning, we align your dates with the most suitable areas and activities, and we point you to official resort snow reports for up-to-date facts.

06Can you organize fully custom trips?

Yes. Share your dates, budget band, group profile, ski level, and “must-haves” vs “nice-to-haves.” We then propose accommodation, transfers, passes, lessons, and add-ons that match your pace, from compact weekend breaks to longer White Weeks.

07Are ski passes and lessons included?

It depends on the package. We can bundle passes, rental, lessons, and on-slope support when that matches your goals, or keep components flexible if you prefer to decide later. Your proposal lists what is included so comparisons stay clear.

08Is the trip suitable for beginners?

Yes. We can prioritize gentler terrain, lesson time, and shorter ski days, and choose resorts and zones that fit first-time skiers and mixed-ability groups. Tell us your comfort level honestly. It helps us set realistic, enjoyable pacing.

09What if part of the group does not ski?

We can balance ski days with wellness, shopping, easy excursions, scenic time, and family-friendly winter activities so non-skiers still enjoy the week. Mixed groups are common, and the plan should reflect different energy levels.

10Do you organize school and corporate trips?

Yes. We build structured formats for schools (with age-appropriate pacing and coordination needs) and for companies (team time, incentives, retreats). Requirements differ by institution and policy, so we set the logistics once we understand your duty of care and approval steps. Operational planning is not a substitute for your internal compliance checks.

11How far in advance should we book?

Earlier planning generally improves availability for popular weeks, school holidays, and peak ski dates. For groups, starting early also helps align approvals, rooming, and transport. If your dates are fixed, contact us as soon as you can, and we’ll be honest about what’s realistic.

12What currency is used in Andorra, and how do payments work?

The euro is widely used for everyday spending. For your booking with us, payment steps, currencies accepted, and deposit/balance timing are confirmed in writing on your proposal/invoice. If you need a specific invoicing format (schools/companies), tell us early.

13What happens after I request a quote?

We review your brief, ask focused follow-up questions if needed, then send a written proposal with clear inclusions and next steps. Once you are happy with the plan, we guide you through confirmation and pre-trip preparation, including reminders about documents, insurance checks and resort information sources.

14Do I need to carry ID when travelling between Andorra and neighbouring countries?

You should always travel with valid identification appropriate to your nationality and route. Border checks can occur, and requirements differ for adults, children, and residency status. This is not legal advice: verify the latest rules with official government guidance for Spain/France/Andorra and your own country before travel.
