Winter at Grandvalira — Experiencias
Beyond lift-served skiing, Grandvalira highlights guided snow experiences in key hubs such as Grau Roig, El Tarter, and Canillo. Availability, meeting points, and inclusions vary. Check the resort’s Experiencias pages for the current season.
Night slots, bundles, and insurance options are published by the resort; do not rely on third-party summaries for pricing.
Snowmobile excursions
Guided rides on marked routes. A flagship area is Grau Roig, with day and night options; insurance may be optional or packaged.
Dog sledding (mushing)
Runs in Grau Roig and El Tarter with different route lengths, family-friendly options, and sometimes a night experience. Schedules are on the operator pages.
Snowshoeing
Sectors include Canillo, El Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig, and Pas de la Casa; in Canillo you may find linked Snowtrek-style experiences.
Màgic Gliss (mountain coaster)
Alpine coaster in Canillo with multi-ride packs and optional VR add-ons. Ticket formats change by season.
Zipline over Estany Forn
In Canillo, seated, lying, or tandem positions; a ski pass is required.
Primera Nieve (first tracks)
Early-morning access on Soldeu / El Tarter before public opening, with breakfast. Aimed at strong skiers; dates and quotas are published seasonally.
Snake Gliss
Guided snake-sled run toward Soldeu after the slopes close. Operating windows depend on conditions and the resort calendar.
Igloo building & Gold/Premium combos
In Grau Roig / Pas de la Casa, packages can bundle igloo sessions with tasters such as cross-country skis, archery, snowshoes, snowmobiles, and mushing. Exact bundles vary.
Activity packs (Canillo and more)
Ready-made days may combine the zipline, Màgic Gliss, snowshoeing, Explor Games, ice palace skating, and water slides. See the resort’s Packs page for what is bundled this year.
Night skiing / evening slope slot
Evening activity in Canillo appears in the seasonal Experiencias table. Confirm times for your visit week.
Grandvalira Tour (Saturday morning)
From Grau Roig, 10:00–13:00 on Saturdays with an instructor: terrain matched to level, viewpoints, and food tips. Group size and level requirements are stated on the resort site.
Andorra Snow Challenge
Seasonal event: Range Rover driving on a snow circuit in Soldeu. Dates and packages are published by the resort when the event is on.

Summer in Grandvalira — peaks & parks
When the snow melts, the same lift network unlocks family parks, golf, high-mountain access, e-bike routes, and guided climbing or hiking. Always verify opening dates and ticket types on the summer section of the resort website.
Pass names (for example bike or multi-attraction passes) and what each lift includes are defined by the resort each summer.
Mon(t) Magic Family Park (Canillo)
Nature-led park reached by cable car; attractions can include a long zipline (~550 m), Màgic Gliss with optional VR, QuickFlight, Red Shark (bike-on-water), Explor Games, water activities, minigolf, inflatables, tubing, Bigairbag, archery, legend trails, Push Bikes, Acrojump. Golf Soldeu
Nine-hole, par-33 course near ~2250 m with driving range, lessons, and club facilities. Green fees and opening hours are listed on the resort golf page.
Funicamp (Encamp)
Long uplift to the Solanelles area (~25 minutes); in summer expect hiking, BTT and e-bike terrain, 4×4 shuttle toward Orri del Cubil, via ferrata dels Clots de l’Aspra, high-mountain fishing subject to local rules, and mountain restaurants. E-bike trails & Bike Pass
Signed routes with difficulty gradings; a Bike Pass can bundle uplift access points such as Funicamp, Canillo, and Soldeu, with a school based in Soldeu. Check the current Bike Pass map and bike policy.
Grandvalira Mountain Guides
Guided trekking, via ferrata, climbing, multi-day tours, orientation sessions, fishing outings, Pessons hikes with gastronomy, and 4×4 access into the Pessons cirque from Grau Roig. Book directly with the guides and read seasonal limitations.
Hiking trails — Canillo, Encamp, Ordino Arcalís

Beyond Grandvalira — spas, parks, lakes & culture
Pair lift days with thermal baths, Naturland’s mountain coaster, duty-conscious shopping, high lakes, regulated fishing, museums, and famous road cols. Each theme has its own booking channel and seasonal calendar.

Caldea & Inúu (Escaldes-Engordany)
Caldea is Andorra’s flagship thermal leisure centre: lagoons, saunas, family areas, and treatments fed by local thermal water; Inúu is the adults-oriented complex under the same brand. Entry types and session lengths are sold on the official Caldea site. Do not assume walk-in availability on peak dates.

Naturland nature park
Large nature park (~800 ha) best known for Tobotronc, a long rail-mounted mountain coaster marketed among the longest in its class, plus Airtrek, tubing, horses, archery, and more. Opening months and combo tickets are on Naturland’s official site.

Shopping — avenues & malls
Andorra’s lower general consumption tax (IGI) can make many goods attractive versus neighbouring countries, but categories such as electronics, fragrance, alcohol, and tobacco remain subject to export limits and common-sense customs rules. Key strolls include Avinguda Meritxell in Andorra la Vella, Carlemany in Escaldes, and Pas de la Casa near the French border; large malls include names such as Pyrénées, Illa Carlemany, and River. Confirm hours locally.
Seasonal sales windows (winter and summer campaigns) are announced by retail and tourism portals. Treat dates as indicative until confirmed by shops you plan to visit.

Lakes — Tristaina & Pessons
Estanys de Tristaina (Ordino, Arcalís area): classic loop to three high lakes with big views and the Arcalís 91 art landmark. Road access and seasonal restrictions are set locally; follow Visit Andorra’s route sheet for the year you travel.
Circ de Pessons: granite cirque and a chain of lakes, commonly approached from Grau Roig with 4×4 shuttle and/or hiking. Elevation and weather matter; coordinate with Grandvalira or guide services for access that season.

Fishing — rivers & high-mountain lakes
Trout and other salmonids are typical targets. You need a licence, and there are reserves, no-kill stretches, and daily limits that change by water body. Read Visit Andorra’s fishing overview and apply for or buy permits through the Andorran government procedures portal. Andorra shows up regularly in pro-race routes; Collada de Beixalis is a headline climb with approaches from Encamp, La Massana, or Ordino.
